Full-Time Police Officer
The City of Belding Police Department is currently accepting applications for a full-time police officer position.
Job Description:
Conduct criminal investigations, enforce traffic laws and local ordinances.
Minimum Requirements:
Must be MCOLES licensed or eligible for licensing in the State of Michigan.
Must be a United States Citizen.
No felony convictions.
Pass a pre-employment physical, drug screen and physiological exam.
Possess a valid State of Michigan Operator’s License.
Submit to a full background investigation.

Reserve Police Officer
The Belding Police Department Reserve Unit is accepting applications for the position of a Reserve Police Officer until filled. This is an unpaid, volunteer, noncertified position. Prospective applicants must be at least 21 years of age, have no criminal convictions, and a clear driving record. The applicant must be able to obtain a Concealed Pistol License and successfully complete Reserve Officer Training. A thorough background and criminal history will be conducted on all applicants. The Belding Police Reserve program is a valuable asset to the Belding Police Department and the community. The Belding Police Reserves provide security at school functions, athletic events, and community programs. The Reserve officers also ride along with sworn officers for extra assistance during high service periods.
